The discovery of natural wonders of western Sicily

Hiking vacations through the nature reserves near the Tyrrhenian Sea, the sea and the mountains of the Egadi Islands, the archaeological parks of Western Sicily.

DAY 1. Arrive at Palermo' s Airport, bus transfer to Scopello, typical example of “baglio” (a fortified farm) of Trapani, in a very picturesque natural setting. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner and OVERNIGHT STAY IN SAN VITO LO CAPO (TP).

DAY 2. Breakfast. Hike in the “Zingaro 's reserve”, the first Natural Reserve in Sicily, among picturesque bays of clear crystal sea, thick prairies of dwarf palm and small rural museums. Packed lunch. In the afternoon visit to the village of SAN VITO LO CAPO (TP). Dinner and OVERNIGHT STAY IN SAN VITO LO CAPO (TP).

DAY 3. Breakfast. Hike in the “Reserve of Mount Cofano”, between mountains and the sea, around the calcareous promontory of Cofano Mount. Packed lunch. In the afternoon visit of Erice' s village (TP), a famous medieval town on the top of Mount San Giuliano. Dinner and OVERNIGHT STAY IN SAN VITO LO CAPO (TP).

DAY 4. In the morning visit of the Archaeological Park of Segesta(TP). Visit of the Doric temple of the calcareous hill where are located the ancient citadel and the greek theater. Packed lunch. DEPARTURE FROM TRAPANI'S PORT by hydrofoil to MARETTIMO (EGADI ISLANDS). Accommodation. In the afternoon excursion in Marettimo. Exploratory hike starting to know the natural and landscape features of Marettimo. Dinner and OVERNIGHT STAY IN MARETTIMO (EGADI ISLANDS).

DAY 5Breakfast. Hike on Marittimo island. A steep path goes back to Mount Falcone, the highest point of the island and face up to the promontory of Punta Troia Castle. Packed lunch. Dinner and OVERNIGHT STAY IN MARETTIMO (EGADI ISLANDS).

DAY 6. Breakfast. DEPARTURE FROM MARETTIMO' S PORT by hydrofoil to Favignana. Hike in the island of Favignana, among ancient fortresses and coves with blue cobalt sea. Packed lunch. In the afternoon departure by hydrofoil to Trapani. Dinner and OVERNIGHT STAY IN SELINUNTE (TP).

DAY 7Breakfast and visit of SELINUNTE,the largest archaeological park of Sicily. Packed lunch. In the afternoon transfer to PALERMO. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner and OVERNIGHT STAY IN PALERMO.

DAY 8. Breakfast and visit to the historical center of PALERMO. Free lunch. Transfer to Palermo' s airport. END OF SERVICES.
