PROGRAM

Day 1 - Catania: Arrival and accommodation in hotel in Catania. Night in hotel in Catania.

Day 2 - Syracuse and Noto: Visit of Syracuse: Archaeological Park (Greek Theatre, Roman Amphitheatre, Quarries, Ear of Dionysius), Ortigia (Cathedral, Fountain Aretusa). Afternoon in Noto: Baroque historic center. Transfer to Ragusa: dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Ragusa Ibla, Modica and Piazza Armerina: Visit of Ragusa Ibla: Baroque churches and palaces, UNESCO heritage. Stop in Modica: historic center and tasting of Sabadì chocolate. Light lunch at the Gardens of San Giorgio. In the afternoon, visit to the Roman Villa del Casale at Piazza Armerina, famous for the mosaics. Transfer to Agrigento: dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - Agrigento, Marsala and Salt Pans: Visit to the Valley of the Temples: Temples of Juno, Concordia and Hercules. Transfer to Marsala: historic center and visit to Florio Cellars with tasting. Continuation along the Salt Road: salt pans, windmills and view of the Stagnone Islands. Arrival in Palermo: free dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - Monreale and Palermo: Visit to the Cathedral and Cloister of Monreale, Arab-Norman masterpieces. In Palermo: Cathedral, Church of Martorana, Palatine Chapel, Norman Palace. Typical lunch and walk in the historic center: Teatro Massimo, Fountain of Piazza Pretoria. Free dinner and overnight.

Day 6 - Cefalù and Catania: Visit of Cefalù: Norman Cathedral and free time in the village. Optional: Mandralisca Museum. Transfer to Catania: UNESCO historic center, Duomo Square, Cathedral of Saint Agatha, Lava stone Elephant, University Square, Via dei Crociferi, Monastery of Saint Benedict. Stop for granita & brioche. Free dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - Etna and Taormina: Visit to the fish market of Catania, then excursion on Etna: Sapienza Refuge, Silvestri Craters, tasting of honey and local products. Transfer to Taormina: lunch in the historic center and visit to the Greco-Roman Theatre with gulf view. Free time to explore or shop. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8 - Castelmola and Savoca: Visit to Castelmola: medieval village, ruins of Mola Castle, panoramic path from Piazza Sant’Antonino. Continuation to Savoca: historic village, film set of “The Godfather”, Vitelli bar, Church of Saint Lucia. Return to Taormina, free afternoon, dinner and overnight.

Day 9 - Taormina: Free day in Taormina: exploration of the medieval village, relaxation by the sea and shopping for local crafts. Recommended visit to Isola Bella, known as the “Pearl of the Mediterranean.” Dinner and overnight in hotel in Taormina.

Day 10 - Taormina: End of the tour after breakfast in hotel. Services ended. Goodbye Sicily !
