Driving along thrilling trails aboard the Jeep, you’ll reach the side of an ancient crater which, thousands of years ago, collapsed and gave birth to a vast hilly volcanic area. Afterwards, a short trek through forest paths will take you to the vast Valle del Bove, where the most breathtaking views of Mount Etna will leave you speechless.
You’ll then descend into a fascinating lava tube cave, where you’ll learn how it evolved over time.From here, the tour continues with a walk along a path to visit the Sartorius Mounts, craters formed during the 1865 eruption.
You’ll return to the address provided at the time of booking, following the scenic Mareneve road, passing through charming Etna villages such as Linguaglossa and Fiumefreddo.
The tour takes place in shared Jeeps (not exclusive use), each able to carry up to 5 people.

Equipment
- During winter, the climate is pretty harsh, so we strongly suggest that you wear proper clothing and shoes to prevent the cold and be protected against extreme weather condition, such as rain or snow. If you do not have hiking boots or winter jackets, the association will provide them for free upon request (please specify in the comments field if you need them).
- Free of charge snowshoes will be provided if necessary.
- During summer the temperatures are quite high, and it it can get pretty windy.
- We suggest that you bring sunscreen, wear summer clothes and bring a sweater or light jacket. Wear comfortable clothes and hiking boots, no sandals or flip-flops.

- Balance must be paid on-site by cash. Upon booking, you are kindly requested to specify name and address of your hotel for the pick-up service.
