    Know, learn and taste with Sicilying! We arranged for you a multi-sensory journey, a cooking show with creative dishes and a gourmet aperitif.
    The experience will have place at a local farm where an experienced guide will show you all different kinds of medicinal and ornamental herbs.
    You will be able to touch, smell and eventually eat them.
    The cooking class will follow this sensory experience. A professional chef will demonstrate the preparation of two dishes, transmitting his knowledge. The two recipes, "Cavati alla norma" and "Pisci fritti ri terra” (earth fried fish) will be made using only seasonal produce and herbs from the garden. The lass will be held under a wooden trellis supporting climbing passionflowers in a charming garden with sea view.
    At the end you will enjoy lunch or dinner, which will include vegetables from the garden. Menu will change each season and will include "pisci fritti ri terra", battered sage, bread with anchoves, pasta "alla norma" (pasta with deeep fried aubergines, tomato and ricotta cheese), lentils salad, cheese with thymus honey, dessert.

    Duration: about 4 hours

    • By car: From Catania, take the SS114 southbound towards Syracuse, then the SS115 towards Ragusa. From Ragusa, follow the signs for Modica and then for Scicli. Once in Scicli, follow local signs to Contrada Santa Rosalia. The journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. From Palermo, take the A19 highway towards Catania until the exit for Caltanissetta. Continue on the SS640 towards Gela and then the SS115 towards Ragusa. From Ragusa, follow the signs for Modica and then for Scicli. Once in Scicli, follow local signs to Contrada Santa Rosalia. The journey takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes.
    • By bus: From Catania, the AST (Azienda Siciliana Trasporti) company offers direct connections from Catania to Scicli. Buses depart from Catania’s central train station and Fontanarossa Airport. The trip takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Check the AST official website for updated schedules. From Palermo, AST provides connections from Palermo to Modica, departing from Via Paolo Balsamo (next to the train station). From Modica, you can take a local bus to Scicli. The total journey takes about 5 hours. Check the AST official website for schedules and connections.
