Trekking on Mount Etna at 3340 meters.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure on Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano, led by an expert volcanological guide who will reveal all its secrets. This is a soul-stirring experience, combining the thrill of reaching the summit with the wonder of wild, lunar landscapes.

Your ascent begins at Rifugio Sapienza, at 1900 meters. You'll take a cable car up to 2500 meters, then continue by 4x4 bus to 2850 meters, the starting point for your trek to the summit craters. After about two hours of walking through "warm" lava flows and volcanic sand that crunches under your feet, you'll reach the top at 3340 meters.

Once there, you'll feel on top of the world. You'll walk along the edge of the central crater, admiring its two bubbling vents: "la voragine" and "bocca nuova". You'll then proceed to the Southeast crater, which has witnessed most of the recent eruptions, where the surrounding panoramic views will leave you breathless.

The excitement doesn't end there. You'll dive into a quick and fun descent down a sandy slope, reaching around 3000 meters for a well-deserved lunch break. The journey continues to the Barbagallo craters (from the 2002/2003 eruption), where you can enter a fascinating lava channel. You'll then proceed to the viewpoint of the "Valle del Bove", a natural amphitheater born from an ancient collapse, before concluding your descent to the cable car that will take you back to the starting point. This is an adventure that will make you feel the primal force of nature.
