Light Lunch and Tasting in a Cellar on Mt Etna

The vineyards of the Cottanera winery are located in Castiglione di Sicilia, on Mount Etna. The clay-rich volcanic soil, the altitude, and the distinctive climate with strong temperature variations create a unique terroir, resulting in exclusive wines with distinctive characteristics. The winery cultivates both indigenous and international grape varieties and oversees every stage of wine production, from harvesting to bottling, combining tradition and innovation.

Upon arrival, you will be guided on a journey to discover the winery and vineyards, learning about the history of Cottanera and its territory. The visit includes the production cellar, the barrel cellar, and a pleasant walk through the vineyards of the Feudo di Mezzo district. This will be followed by a light lunch featuring traditional local recipes, including Etna cheeses of various ages, a selection of vegetables, and sausage made from Nebrodi black pig. The experience is completed with the winery’s wines and a guided tasting of four selected labels.
